I was honored to be the one & only San Diego fitness DJ that the crew from Kai Elua Outrigger Club trusted with the tunes for their annual Iron Championship event at Mariner’s Point in Mission Bay in June. It’s always fun being the first DJ at an annual event where hundreds of guests are used to listening to someone’s phone plugged into a speaker and running a Spotify list. My friends Kendra and Noelle from Kai Elua had one request–no Hawaiian music. It went something like: “If we have to hear Iz sing ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World’ for one more year, someone might go ballistic!” LOL
